Thank you for all the positive comments made on social media recently, we are always really pleased when parents recommend us.  However the school has recently been made aware that a small number of posts containing false and inaccurate comments have been uploaded onto social media sites which relate to staff members and the general running of the school. The school would like to assure parents that it will address any concerns or issues raised in accordance with its Complaints Policy, which is available on the school’s website or from the school office. Please also refer to the parent code of conduct available on the school website.  The school urges parents to approach school with any concerns and refrain from airing concerns about the school and its staff on social media sites. If the school is unaware of any issues then it cannot investigate and resolve them, and the reputation of the school may be damaged and the integrity of its staff unnecessarily called into question. Posting negative comments on social media can cause damage and upset and is often counter-productive to pupil education. The school aims to hold constructive communication with parents and is continually looking at fresh ways of school and parent engagement to serve the best interests of all those in the school community.

There are still places available for the year 3 residential to Broadwater. 

There are two dates for the trip:

Classes 3M & part of 3N will attend 20th - 22nd May. 

Classes 3D & remainder of 3N will attend 22nd - 24th May. 

We are offering a wonderful opportunity for children to attend a two night stay, where they will spend their time doing activities together, working as teams, completing challenges, problem solving and most of all, having fun. 

Outside providers will be running rock-climbing, crate stacking and cultural drumming workshops for all children. It will be a great learning experience for all.

The trip will cost £55 in total and a £10 deposit is needed to secure your child's place. A medical form will need to be completed before your child attends.

Scholastic Book Fair will be open to all parents and carers after school on Monday 25th March untill Thursday 28th March.

Purchasing books from this Book Fair will help raise money to purchase books for our school Library.

At Timberley Academy we are committed to ensuring the safety of our children, including online usage. Our Computing Curriculum aims to teach pupils about internet safety and what they should do if they find something inappropriate, whilst using software and games both at school and at home.

In school, we have software in place which automatically identifies unsuitable words or materials on the internet and immediately blocks them. 

The National Online Safety has produced some posters and resources to help support and advise parents with useful information and handy tips. Copies of these are attached below and will be put up around school for parents/carers and children to read.
