Healthy Eating

We have been learning about how to keep healthy. We have designed our own healthy lunch boxes, which contained foods such as sandwiches, fruit, vegetables and yoghurts. We know that eating five fruit and vegetables a day is important to keep us healthy aswell as plenty of exercise. In PE we have been looking at different ways of moving and how exercise makes us feel.

We looked at healthy drinks including water and fruit juices. We made our own fruit cocktails. We have been looking closely at different types of fruit, we painted our favourites, and we used fruit for printing in the outdoor area.

During Book Week we read stories about healthy foods including The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Handa's Surprise and Oliver's Fruit Salad.
