Midas and the Golden Touch - 27th January

In Literacy, we have been writing our own myth based on the tale of King Midas and the Golden Touch.

We have created a character description of the greedy king and written a description of the setting as he sets off on a dangerous mission across the seas in order to reach the one god who can reverse his golden curse.

To help prepare us for writing the plot of our story, we worked in groups to create a role play about what would happen to Midas as he treks across the island in search of the god.  This really helped us with our story writing. Sadly, in some cases, the god did not feel that Midas deserved to have his golden touch removed and so he had to live with the curse forever!
