Please see the weekly newsletter for details of homework that has been set for that week.
Homework will be given out on a Friday and must be handed in the following Wednesday.
If children haven't handed in their homework for 3 weeks in a row, they will stay in during lunchtime to complete it.
The children (and staff) all had a fantastic time on the residential at Woodlands. They had the opportunity to experience:
Halloween
The children all looked fantastic in their Halloween costumes.
Barvember 2018
For the month of November children have been enjoying solving maths problems for Barvember.
Barvember encourages everyone to use the bar model as a useful tool for helping children visualise and then solve maths problems. Even some of the most complex problems can be seen much easier when represented visually.
SPACE CENTRE
It was lovely to see so many children in school today dressed as their favourite character. The children particularly enjoyed walking the catwalk. Well done to Declan (5M) Michaela (5B) and Lauren B (5S) for winning a prize for their costume.
Year 5 have had a fantastic time being minibeast hunters and exploring habitats in the meadow, woodlands and pond at Bishops Wood. They have enjoyed using scientific equipment to measure the air temperature, soil temperature, soil moisture and light intensity. The Great Crested Newt was definitely a favourite amongst both the children and staff.
