This week we were really lucky to have two lifeguards from the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) come to Timberley to teach us all about beach and water safety.
The RNLI is a charity that saves lives at sea. They provide a 24-hour lifeboat search and rescue service and a seasonal lifeguard service.
We learnt that the charity is served by volunteers who give up their time to help others who are in need.
During our session, we explored the different flags that are seen on a beach and what they mean. We also used S.A.F.E to remember how to stay safe when in water. Can you remember what each letter stands for?
Safe swimming everyone!
