Common exception words

Please find attached the lists of spellings ALL children should be able to spell by the end of year 6.

The children are currently learning 10 spellings each week at home to be tested on a Monday.

We would appreciate it if you would help your child learn these spellings as these will be vital to them in their SATs test in May.

Homework

Homework will be given out on a Friday and must be handed in on the following Friday.

Spellings will also be given out on a Tuesday ready for the test the following Monday.

Please ensure your child is completing both sets of homework and learning their spellings, as this is invaluable for them to access their tests at the end of the year.

Homework club is open to all year 6 children on a Wednesday 3.30-4.30 pm!

Christmas Crafts!

Year 6 have been really busy preparing some wonderful decorations and cards for Christmas. We practised paper folding skills to make the card and did some wonderful sewing to make felt Christmas trees. We also created our own interpretation of van Gogh's Starry Night for our calendars.

Fantastic Fossils!

As part of our Out of Africa project, we have been learning how we can find out about the past from the existence of fossils. We then worked with Mr Griffiths in the Phiz Lab to create our own dinosaur fossils!
