Welcome to Year 1!
We hope that you all had a fantastic holiday and are ready for the new school year. The children have had a great start to the new school year and are settling into life in KS1 really well. The children all look smart in their uniforms. Please can you ensure that all items of clothing (including shoes and pumps) are clearly labelled. PE will be on a Wednesday for all classes. The children have enjoyed writing about their holidays and getting to know people in their new classes. We look forward to having a successful year and please keep checking this page for updates.

Thank you to everybody for your continued support this term. We can not believe that we are 2/3s of the way through the year. As well as the set homework we would really appreciate if you could do any kind of reading with your child over the holiday because the Phonics Screening Check is only 8 and a half weeks away. Education City Maths work has also been set.

On Thursday 10th January all of Year 1 took part in a Fashion Show as part of our Entry Point for our project - Say Cheese. We all got to walk down the catwalk and take photographs of our peers. The staff also took part and everybody had great fun. Year 1 want to say a big thanks To Miss Rose who did the commentary and Mr Cowley who played the music.

On the 5th, 6th and 7th November Year 1 visited Aston Hall
Today we got to do P.E with an athlete. We had lots of fun!
