Nursery Admissions

Nursery 1 (2-3 year olds)

If you are interested in your child attending our Nursery 1, please pop to the school office to complete an application form or you can download one following the link below.

We offer places for children the term after they turn two years old. Some children may be eligible for 15 hour funding and parents will need to apply for this. If your child is not eligible for funding then you will be required to pay for the sessions your child attends. Entitlement is offered in the form of mornings or afternoons. If you do apply for a place, please ensure that you clearly mark your preference of mornings or afternoons and which days.

Our morning sessions are 8.30am - 11.30am and our afternoon sessions are 12.30pm - 3.30pm.

We do not offer full time places.

Criteria

Any child with a statement of special educational needs or Education, Health and Care Plan (EHC) is required to be admitted if Timberley Academy is named in the statement or EHC plan. This gives such children overall priority. This is not an oversubscription criterion.

1. Looked after children or previously looked after children.
2. Children with a brother or sister already at the academy who will still be in attendance at the time of the applicant’s admission.
3. Children who live nearest the Academy.
4. Children not already attending a pre school setting.

Nursery 2 (3-4 year olds)

If you are interested in your child attending our nursery 2, please pop to the school office to complete an application form or you can download one following the link below.

We offer places for children the term after they turn three years old and so are entitled to 15 hours free nursery education. Entitlement is offered in the form of five mornings or five afternoons. If you do apply for a place, please ensure that you clearly mark your preference of mornings or afternoons.

Our morning sessions are 8.30am - 11.30am and our afternoon sessions are 12.30pm - 3.30pm.

We do not offer full time places or paid childcare.

When will offers be made?

At Timberley, we have three intakes per year (depending on space). If/when a place becomes available for your child in Nursery 1 or Nursery 2, offers will be made for:

September intake - Offers sent out in May.

January intake - Offers sent out in October.

April intake - Offers sent out in February.
