Welcome back to the new school year and top of Key Stage 1. We are all very excited for the year ahead and have lots of fun and challenging plans for the year! 

This term we are looking at Famous People in History and Plants and Animals in Science. The children are also currently enjoying working on The Gruffalo in Literacy and Music. Why not pop into Shard End Library and borrow some books to support your child at home with these topics!

The children are really excited about our trip to The Black Country Museum this Wednesday. Remember if you have not yet returned your child's reply slip and money please do so as soon as possible. Also remember they will need a packed lunch and drinks (not fizzy) Thank You!

Next Week is also Art Week in School 

Your child should have brought home their first set of homework to be completed by Friday. Spellings have also been sent home and children will be tested on them on FRIDAY. Remember to look out for your child's new Education City and Mathletics passes as future homework will be set via these sites.
