Year 1 Inspire Workshop
Thank you for coming along to our workshop this week. The children had a lovely time and it was great to see all the adults engaged too.
What a fantastic first few days we have had with the children The children have done so well settling into their new routine, we are super proud of them all. If you haven't already, please see our Y1 Newsletter attached to the school newsletter on the website - it includes lots of helpful information about Year 1. This weeks homework was 'Get caught reading' and we have had some fantastic pictures sent in. If you haven't already please send in photos to your child's class teacher of them reading outside of school.
Keep and eye out here on our class page over the coming week to see photos of our learning in Year 1
We have been super busy this half term in Year 1. The children have made great progress across the curriculum. The children have been brining in their home reading books everyday to read in class. It's lovely to see the comments parents and carers have made in the reading diaries. It's fantastic to hear that the children are doing great reading at home too.
We have had some super contributions from in the children in our maths lessons this half term. The children are excellent at subitising, telling us what they see and how do they see it. We've been using tens frames and learning to use part whole models, as well as exploring number bonds within 10.
This half term we have covered Science, Geography, Design & Technology, PSHE and RE.
