This half term we have been lucky enough to work with Jeff from Bell Heath to learn all about John Muir. We are trying to earn our own John Muir awards.
We have been out into our local area and around school
- discovering
- exploring
- conserving
- sharing
Through exploring our local area, we have been learning a lot about the trees and flowers that grow in the area. We have also discovered all about who John Muir was and why he is important. We have enjoyed a local litter pick to conserve the local area, and have even written a letter to our local MP as to how we could conserve and improve our local park and lake. We have also helped conserve our school environment by building bird boxes, pruning the bushes in forest school, weeding the flower beds and planting new flowers.
