We will remember.

Today, at the eleventh hour on the eleventh day of the eleventh month, we stood still for 2 minutes to remember all of the brave people who sacrificed their lives for us during wars.  In order to understand more about this occasion, we listened to The Soldier's Tale - a radio series which recounted the diary entries of an 18 year old soldier in World War One.  We explored the poppy as the symbol of remembrance and how it related to the battlefields in WWI.

Some of Year 3 came to school in their Beaver uniforms as a sign of respect from one organisation to another.
