Speight of the Art Part 2!
Last week we were lucky to have our second visit from Speight of the Art. Following on from our ballet workshop, 12 Year 3 children were able to take part in an art workshop. Working with a professional artist, the children created some AMAZING chalk portraits. They were taken step-by-step through the process, thinking carefully about the size, shape and position of each of the facial features. The final portrait will be transformed into characters from the Nutcracker ballet by adding different accessories such as a soldier's helmet. We can't wait for the next session!
