World Book Day 2017
World Book Day is a celebration!
It’s a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
We have had such a fantastic day celebrating World Book Day. Year 4 was transformed into a year group of Where's Wally, Snow White, Captain America, Horrid Henry, Harry Potter and many, many more!
We did some fantastic work on the BFG, mixing dreams and designing our own personal dream. We also looked at how the BFG may have looked threatening but his personality was quite the opposite. We then designed our own character whose personality certainly did not reflect their appearance!
In the afternoon, we had a visit to our new library and got cosy in the new seating area. We finished off the day by making a monster bookmark for our new library books. WOW!
What a great day!
