Please Support The Poppy Appeal

Every year we sell poppies to help support the British Armed Forces past and present, and their families. This year we will also be selling other items to help raise money for the forces. Please see the attached document to see what we are selling and the prices.

We do ask that you give a minimum of 20p for a poppy.

This autumn/winter Flora, in partnership with Tesco, is launching a scheme called Tubs4Tablets which aims to bring cutting edge technology into the classroom.

The scheme gives schools the opportunity to collect tokens from special tubs of Flora on sale at Tesco and exchange them for FREE Samsung Tablets to use in the classroom.

Our school has already registered to take part in the scheme, now we need to start collecting tokens.

Tokens can be found on special tubs of Flora 500g (all varieties) and Stork 500g, available at all Tesco stores now.

Hand us your tokens and we will exchange them for FREE touch screen tablets.  Tokens can be left in our collection box by the office or given to class teachers.

Just 50 tokens will get our school one tablet so help us to claim as many as we can. 

If friends, neighbours, work colleagues and family can help too we could collect even more tokens to exchange for tablets.  There's no limit to the amount of free tablets we can claim for the school!

We are aiming for 1850 tokens so please help us!

Timberley Academy Christmas Fayre 2014

 On Saturday 29th November we will be starting our Christmas celebrations

with a Christmas Fayre.

Lots will  be going on at school this day, including a visit from Father Christmas himself.

Please keep this date available on your calendar's and help support Timberley with making this year's Christmas Fayre successful.

If you would like to sell anything at the fayre, please contact Miss Tresigne on 0121-4642002 to hire a table top for £7.

On Wednesday 22nd October 2014, children may come to school dressed as they like for 20p.

Also, on the evening children in key stage 2, year 3 to 6, have the opportunity to attend a disco.

As usual it will be for £1 per child and will be on till 5.30pm.
