Please contact the school office
if your child is ill and going to be absent from school.
It is extremely important that children attend school every day. When children miss days off school they are losing valuable learning time. As a parent/carer you have a legal responsibility for ensuring your child attends school regularly. If your child is ill and cannot attend school, it important you contact the school office on 0121-4642002 to make us aware. For safeguarding reasons we must know why children are absent from school, so they can be marked accurately on the register. If your child feels poorly, but is well enough to come into school then this is fine. If your child’s illness progresses throughout the day, we will contact you to collect your child. If you would like to talk to someone regarding your child’s attendance please contact the office.
School is closed tomorrow, Tuesday 1st October 2013, for children from Nursery upwards.
Children in Timberley Tots can attend school as normal.
The forced closure will not affect children's attendance records, as it will be marked as 'Y' on the register.
Which means an authorised enforced closure.
Please do not worry about tomorrow ruining your child's good attendance
On Tuesday 1st October 2013 there is a day of industrial action by the two main teaching unions,
meaning
school will be CLOSED due to striking.
Children do not come into school on Tuesday.
A letter was sent out this week, which can be downloaded below.
School will be open as normal on Wednesday 2nd October 2013.
On Friday we will be selling cakes to raise money for Macmillan.
Children and staff are welcome to bring cakes into school, which will be sold to raise money.
All money raised will go to charity.
So everyone get your bake on and help us make money
for Macmillan Cancer Support!!
Pre-made shop cakes will also do just fine
We are still recycling cans and clothes. All monies raised go towards the upkeep of the animals on the farm. I am delighted to say that we have been nominated for three prestigious awards for recycling, and a group of children and I will be going to an event on 28th September to see if we have won. Please continue to donate cans and clothing if possible.
There will be no football practice this Wednesday as the Girls football team are playing an away match.
