  • Earrings

    Mon 28 Sep 2015

Due to health and safety reasons children are only allowed to wear a single pair of stud earrings to school.  Children must not wear hoop earrings to school.

Children are not permitted to wear earrings for PE or swimming.  They will need to remove their own earrings but for younger children it may be easier for parents to remove them before school on PE days as staff are unable to take earrings out for children.  If your child has had their ears pierced within the last 6 weeks please provide plasters for them to put over them however after 6 weeks their earrings will need to be removed.

I thank you for your cooperation in this matter

  • New classroom update

    Fri 11 Sep 2015

    Dear parents/carers

Thank you for your patience this week whilst we are waiting for the temporary classrooms to be ready and safe for 2P and 1M to move into.  The 2 classes have been based in the key stage 1 hall this week and have enjoyed the start to the school year.  The 2 classes are spending limited time together in the hall as they are enjoying a range of activities all over school, including the ICT suite, outside area and playgrounds.  The behaviour of the children have been a credit to you all during this week.

Miss Rose is working tirelessly with Birmingham City Council to ensure the classrooms are finished to the highest standard to ensure they are ready and more importantly safe for your children.  Our own site staff will be over seeing the completion of the classrooms this weekend.

Children will come into school next week as they have this week and if the classrooms are ready for them on Monday we will keep you updated as to where you need to collect your children from.

Breakfast club will remain open until 8.40am during the building work and morning maths will begin at 8.40am for all year groups.

We hope this helps parents to have a smooth start to the day.

  • Updates; School Access During Building Work

    Thu 03 Sep 2015

While the building work is going on, access into and around the building has changed. We are trying our best to keep things as straight forward and safe as possible.

For the next 2 weeks the main gate on Bradley Road will remain open. As will Packington and Timberley Lane gates.

Access to the office is still via the main school gate. However, you will need to walk through the junior playground, by the MUGA and enter via the door on the playground.

Signs will be around to direct you all.

Access to year 3 & year 4 will be the doors at the top of the junior playground.

Access to the Portakabin classrooms, which are classes RH 1M & 2P, will be by the fenced gated area on the field at the back of school.

Please be aware that the junior playground is being used for staff parking and will also be where the mini-buses drop children off of a morning.

We do ask that when walking across the junior playground to the office you are vigilant at all times.

  • UPDATE: Children now return MONDAY 7TH SEPTEMBER

    Tue 01 Sep 2015

Due to problems with the building work, school will not reopen until

Monday 7th September 2015 for ALL children.

We want to make sure that school site is opened in the safest and best condition for all the children, however due to issues that we could not control the opening date for September has had to be pushed back to Monday.

Staff will return to school as normal on Wednesday.

If you have any questions or would like to speak to someone regarding the building work or the delay in children returning, please do not hesitate to contact the office on 01214642002.

Apologies for the inconvenience and we hope you all had a lovely holiday smiley
