  • The BIG Build - Timberley School Expansion UPDATES!

    Fri 27 Feb 2015

    Timberley Is Expanding!

As you may be aware, Timberley Academy was asked by Birmingham City Council to take an extra 30 children from September 2014.

The children are currently educated in temporary accommodation which under the planning permission conditions has to be removed from the school by July 2017.  Therefore, we have been working with Birmingham City Council to enable this to happen and we intend to replace the temporary classrooms by refurbishing existing space and construction two new halls – one for dining and the other for sports. The temporary classrooms would then be removed from site once the refurbishments are completed.

We would like to invite all our parents/carers and the local community to attend an informal drop-in session at school between 3.30 and 5.30pm on Wednesday 4th March 2015.

This will give everyone the opportunity to see the plans for the proposed extension.

There will be representatives from Birmingham City Council, the Architect and/or Morgan Sindall will be available to answer any questions you may have.

Refreshments will be available on the evening.

We hope to see you all then.

If you are unemployed and need help finding a job, come along to The Pump in Kitts Green to receive all the help you need.

See the posters below for more information.

  • Parking by school

    Tue 03 Feb 2015

Please be considerate when parking by school when you are dropping off and collecting your child/children.

On numerous occasions we have had complaints off our neighbours about our parents and visitors who are parking on grass verges, also blocking our neighbours drives.

Please be cautious when parking and find a space that is clear of anyone's property, but is also safe.

At Timberley we like to keep a happy and friendly relationship with our neighbours, so please think twice while you are parking.

Also, please keep the slip road into school clear.

This is the access for emergency services, deliveries and staff to access the site.

This is NOT a parking area for parents/carers or taxis.

If anyone is seem parking on the slip road or blocking it, you will be asked to move.

    Thank you for the co-operation.
