On Friday 28th September 2012 Miss Rose, Mr Ball and children from Timberley attended The Birmingham Recycling Awards Afternoon.
"Timberley Academy impressed the judges with its whole school approach to recycling and waste reduction, winning the school’s reuse and waste reduction categories as well as the overall winner. School children grow food for the school and the on-site animals, compost all animal and plant waste, take part in the school’s can collection scheme. Even the animals’ homes, which include an aviary and a rabbit warren, are made from reclaimed materials."
These are the kind words that was said about Timberley and all the hard work we do. We would like to thank everyone who helped us achieve this brilliant award. We are very grateful of the constant support Timberley receive, without you all we would not been able to gain such great achievements. Timberley was voted the best recycling school and was voted the overall winners of Birmingham.
KEEP RIGHT ON!!

Year 3 children will be visiting Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery on Tuesday 25th September.
Next week children at Timberley will take part in a range of exciting Science activities from making slime to watching what happens to dry ice. We will be having Sublime Science in school to work with all year groups from Reception to year 6.
Please click here to view find out more about Sublime Science.
We have booked a drum teacher to come into school to give some children the opportunity to have lessons.
Lessons will be 30 minute slots. Due to the expense of the lessons we would ask for a contribution each week of £2.50 and school will fund the rest. Your child has to sign up for a minimum of a half term. If you wish to cancel then please inform miss Bevington.
Have you seen the new clothes recycling bin outside school? Profits from any clothes you donate will raise funds for our school and help the Salvation Army's work with people in need.
The Salvation Army are asking for good quality men's, ladies and children's clothing (including underwear and accessories) as well as shoes and trainers.
Thank you!
