School Admissions
 

It is our intention to increase our numbers in September 2014 to have 90 children in Reception, so that we have space for all of the children attending our Nursery in September 2013. For parents, still on the waiting list for Reception 2013, we doing everything in our power to increase our numbers to accommodate you and your child.

As an Academy, we are our own admissions authority so if you have a child who would like to attend Timberley please feel free to come into the office and fill in the paper work to go onto our waiting list. In the case of a space becoming available in your required year, we will contact you to offer the place.

We will keep you all informed of any changes.

Another thank you to The National Lottery who have granted us £9600 for the farm area. 




Big thank you to Joshua Smith's family who have kindly donated money to Timberley for various things. 
So far they have raised: 

£700 each for our last two Christmas Fayres and our last Summer Fayre. 

£1000 - For the new Timberley community kitchen.

Also, a big thankyou to the company they work with, Vodafone.

We really appreciate the help and support Joshua's family have provided us

We hope they can continue to help us in the future.

Class 3M will start swimming lessons at Castle Vale Baths on Monday 17th June 2013. 
Originally, they were meant to start this Monday but due to an issue with the coach company, the children couldn't attend. 
Children will leave school after morning registration and will return for break time. 

Swimming lessons will give children the opportunity to learn to swim or improve their current swimming ability.

Children must bring a one piece swimming costume or trunkes with a towel in a bag to school every Monday morning.

Class 3M will be swimming until we break up.

School uniform is availble to buy/order at the school office. 
All cardigans, jumpers and school fleeces can be embroided with your child's name on for free.
Please make sure that you order and pay for school uniform by the end of the month, as uniform can sometimes take up to 6 weeks to be ordered, made & delivered back to school. 

On Saturday 22nd June 2013, there will be a summer fayre & car boot at school, from 10am till 1pm.
Everyone is welcome to come along & join in on the fun. 
Free admission and a fun filled family day!

There will be stalls to buy from, activities to participate in, fresh food being cooked and drinks available to buy.
Everyone is welcome to visit our farm and adventure area. 
Plus ice creams will be on sale, made from our very own ice cream machine. 

If you would like to hire a table or car space to sell things, this will cost £7.50.

The Christmas fayre was a big success so we are hoping for the same outcome or BIGGER this time

Thank you letter from Mr Wormald.

Miss Rose has received a wonderful thank you letter from Chris Wormald the Permanent Secretary for Education. Mr Wormald was very impressed with our school and the warm community spirit he felt during his visit. Mr Wormald thought the farm was 'truly extraordinary.' 

Well done to Miss Rose and all the children and staff at Timberley.

Could all parents and carers make sure that children are wearing sun cream when coming to school.
Sun cream must not be brought into school, due to children with allergies, but may be applied before coming to school or parents are welcome to come into school and apply it during the day. 

Children will also need to be provided with a sun hat and a water bottle. 
Children may have full access to the water fountain throughout the day. 

If you wish to place an order for your child's school photograph 
please order and pay at the office before June 14th 2013.

Orders cannot be placed after this date, as they won't be ready by the end of term.

Chris Wormald and his personal secretary Kris came to visit Timberley today. 

Chris was impressed with everything we do at Timberley and the facilities we have developed, both indoor and outdoor. 

Chris was also very happy with the children's attitude to learning and the way they behaved around school.

For £90 you may have access to the school hall, plus the farm, adventure area AND the school field. 
You may decorate the hall as you wish and cater for the children however you like. 

For just £75 you may have access to just the hall (minus the outdoor facilities)

The hall can be hired on Saturdays upto 7pm, (2 and a half hours per booking)
