23rd April is St George's Day. He is the patron saint of England. Did you know it is widely believed that he slayed a fearsome dragon in order to save and marry the princess?
To celebrate this day, Year 3 had a day of fun activities themed around England. We made cucumber sandwiches, fruity jelly and a whole string of bunting. We played rounders and had a good old fashioned game of cricket!
The children also enjoyed a range of games outside where we celebrated in the British sunshine!
