Look Hear!

Whether we are driving around in our cars, working, or relaxing at home, we are turning on lights, music,

TV, radio, computers and mobile phones. We are plugged in to sound and light 24 hours a day. But what is

the science behind sound and light? This term Year 5 are about to find out!!

The children worked really hard to research how both the eye and ear works and created some wonderful pieces of work explaining what they had found out. Did you know the 3 bones in your ear are called the Hammer, Anvil and Stirrup? Also, the pupil in your eye lets light in, it gets very small in bright light, and bigger when it is dark.
How does sound travel?
This week we explored if sound could travel through thin solids and made our own 'cup phones'.
