Arvon

Some of the year 6 children were very lucky last week to be able to go away into the countryside for a week and work with published authors. All of the children worked really hard and gained a lot from working with both of our resident authors. It was a privilege to have gone with them and I am very proud of the work they have completed.

Whilst we were there, the children had the opportunity to meet and work with Malachy Doyle (a published children's author) and Jen Hadfield (a published poet). They both provided us all with inspiring workshops, from which the children have written some brilliant stories and poems of their own.

We also went for daily walks up the local hills, which included some muddle puddles and jumping (sorry parents!) and meeting Sheep the Spy....!

Please have a look through our photo's and ask the children to explain any of them to you, including eating a sandwich with a knife and fork!

The children's work from the week will also be published shortly.
