If the SEND team at Timberley thinks that your child needs extra support in school we will always talk to you about this. The SEND team will ensure the all the relevant staff are informed about the needs of your child. Any information from outside agencies will be shared in school with the staff involved if necessary to ensure we are meeting the needs of your child.
Children with physical and medical needs will have a care plan written and agreed with you, so we ensure that the physical, personal care and medical needs are met in school.
We will talk to you about their needs and write an Individual Education Plan or be included in a group plan, outlining their targets. We will then review their progress towards the targets termly.
If your child has more complex needs, and has an EHCP, (Education, Health and Care Plan) then we may review your child’s progress and needs through a Person Centred Review. This approach values the views of the child and their family as well as school.
Mrs Lawrence and Miss Tresigne have attended specialist training to ensure these meetings are effective for all involved.
