How we will try to make the information about your child clear and easy to understand

We will ensure that all the information we need to share with you is clear and easy to understand.

You can read our Inclusion Policy on the website. The policy explains how we identify and assess children who may have additional needs or need extra support and keep them at the centre of everything we do.

What happens if there is a concern. ?

Teacher/parent

raises a concern.

We will meet to
produce a plan of
support to meet the
needs of your child
Provision and
interventions
are put in and
reviewed
If there are still
concerns then the
SENDCo arranges
for support from
the relevant outside
agencies.

The four broad areas of need, as identified in the SEND Code of Practice 2015, are as follows;

Communication and Interaction

Cognition and Learning

Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties

Sensory and/or Physical, including Medical Conditions

Your child may fall into more than one of these groups. Support and advice will be tailored to the needs of your child. We will then follow the Plan, Do and Review cycle also known as the graduated approach in collaboration with outside agencies as appropriate.
