Girls Alan Fowles Trophy

The girls football team took part in the Alan Fowles Trophy on Wednesday 17th October 2012.  We went in to the tournament as holders, so there was a lot of pressure on the girls.

We played Alston in our first game and were held to a 0-0 draw, despite all of our shots.  Megan nearly broke the crossbar with one effort!

We went in to our final game against Hobmoor, knowing that we had to win by more than 2 goals.  Mollie, in goal, had nothing to do as our defence: Anaya, Paige, Shannon and Caitlan were magnificent in the first half.  Paige cleared one ball through to Megan and we went 1-0 up.  Megan then scored a second just before half time.  We carried on playing excellently in the second half and Megan scored 2 more brilliant goals.  From this point Brittany, Amy and Megan had shots that were brilliantly saved.  We ended up with a 4-0 victory and were winners of the Alan Fowles Trophy for the second year running.

Well done girls, you were all fantastic!
